Forty-five years after the famed "I have a dream" speech, two student leaders from Saint Louis University and Harris-Stowe State University have a dream, too. Last year's SLU Student Government Association President Evan Krauss and Harris-Stowe SGA President Leonard Johnson are co-founders of the St. Louis Dream Keepers.

In its eight-hour funding meeting for student groups for the 2008-2009 school year, the Student Government Association awarded $669,636.90 to student groups, with a few smacks of the gavel. Financial Vice President John Curry said he and the finance committee used an "aggressive approach" in distributing money to student groups of "higher quality" than last year.

Saint Louis University's Just Earth! club is gearing up for the greenest day of the year and hoping to make this year's Earth Day celebration into an Earth Week of awareness. "We are really trying this year not only to spread awareness but also to get people to commit to something," said club Treasurer John Kelly.

The single piece of advice I have received the most in France is "profite bien." Literally translated, it means "profit well," but I love it because it means more than "have a nice time" and "enjoy yourself." Given in command form, it asks you in short to learn, to take advantage and to maximize your experience.

Hermann Stadium for the opportunity to support cancer research during the 2008 Relay for Life. Relay for Life is an annual event held by the American Cancer Society in cooperation with many colleges nationwide.
